The Minister of Communication and Digitization Madam Ursula Owusu Ekuful has officially disclosed that the government is poised to provide 334 senior high schools in the country with information and Communication Technology ICT laboratories.
According to Honourable Ursula Owusu Ekuful, the best and most competent way to bridge the acquisition of knowledge in Information and Communication Technology ICT is by making the subject a practical one in senior high schools.
In an interview with the media after the commissioning of two newly constructed classroom blocks at Abeiku basic school and St. Margret Mary senior high school, the Communication, and Digitization minister said she is in talks with the Education Minister to ensure the project kick start.
“The best way to sustain any such initiative is to mainstream it. I know the curriculum has been changed. ICT education is part of the curriculum. We need to make the subject practical enough for the students.”
