4 SHS forced to produce computers and accessories- African Education watch

The management of four senior high schools could not produce 32 laptops and computer accessories according to the African Education Watch inspection this is contrary to section 52 of the public financial management Act, 2016 (Act 921).

According to African Education Watch the Auditor general has identified over GH180.00 unaccounted for through various irregularities, including cash, payroll and contract mismanagement under ministry of education in 2019.

The schools are Ahafoman SHTS, Methodist tech institute (Sunyani), Mankessim SHTS, PRESEC (OSU).

Auditor General (AG) recommends the management of these schools to recover these computers and accessories or their market values should be recovered from the officers responsible for the loss.

This comes as a result of The management of the African Education Watch recently launched an investigation into our schools to recover the lost money that most public officers in the Education sector are causing which is seriously affecting the growth and infrastructure of the Education sector as they say.
