The Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC) Dr. Christian Addai Poku has officially disclosed that 44,000 out of those who wrote the 2022 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) failed the exam.
DR. Christian Addai Poku noted that the results of the teachers were worrying considering the poor performance of teachers who are supposed to be impacting knowledge to Ghanaian children.
The Registrar of the National Teaching Council made this remark during the meeting organized by the Institute of Teacher Education and Development (INTED) for the 2022 Cohort – Leading Girls Learning Program.
Dr. Christian Addai Poku noted that the knowledge and capacity of teachers need to be developed continually to help them fit in their profession.
He further explained that Continuous professional development enables teachers to sharpen their skills professionally.
