The vice president of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mohamudu Bawumia has disclosed that Teachers will be able to use the laptops for teachers either online or offline and some 722 Senior High Schools across the country will be using the free wifi.
At St Mary’s senior high school, on Friday 3rd September 2021, the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service launched the one-teacher one laptop initiative of which the vice president Dr. Mohamudu Bawumia was the guest of honor.
According to Dr. Mohamudu Bawumia the initiative, in collaboration with the Teacher unions is supports the Ghana Education Service of creating an enabling environment for teaching and learning across all schools in the country.
“The government will provide Teachers in Ghana with laptops preloaded with Educational materials and with access to an E-library equipped with books recommended by the Ghana Education Service on various books. The materials will be accessible either online or offline and with free wifi available in 722 senior high schools across the country, access to almost innumerable resources available on the internet will aid research, Teaching, and learning.” He said
