The president of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has pleaded with the teacher unions in Education to call off their strike action for the sake of JHS students who are set to write their Examination in a few months.
Speaking at the Eid Al Adha Celebration at the Independence Square in Accra on Saturday 9th July 2022, president Nana Addo begs the teacher unions to please consider the Basic Education Certificate Examination students and call off their strike action while negotiation continues with the government.
He further asked the citizens to bear with the government in difficult times since the pandemic has affected the economy deeply.
Meanwhile, the president has made a donation of an undisclosed amount to the Chief Imam in support of the Eid Al Adha Celebrations.
