The Management of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association (CETAG) has called on government to cancel teacher trainees allowance and let them apply for student loans.
According to the CETAG, it is time for the government to allow teacher trainees to apply for student loans as other students in tertiary institutions do. Teacher trainees should be allowed to look for other sources of funds to pay their fees. The president of CETAG noted.
Speaking on GBC news, the president of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association (CETAG), Mr. Prince Obeng Himah is asking the government to consider initiating broad stakeholders’ consultation on some of the challenges facing CETAG.
He further explained that previous effort made to get the association issues to be resolve has not yielded any positive results.
