COLA update: Reach a middle ground with Organized Labour Unions – Akufo Addo to Gov’t Negotiators

The president of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has Charged the Government Negotiators on the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) to reach a middle ground with the Labour Unions’ demand for 20% COLA.

According to the president, he wants the meeting with organized Labour to be conclusive as the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission meets the 22 organized Labour Unions today Thursday 14th July 2022.

This has been disclosed on TV3 Midday News on Thursday 14th of July 2022.

Meanwhile, the Teacher unions in Education at the pre-tertiary level and the senior Staff of the public Universities are still on strike and other Labour Unions have threatened to embark on indefinite strike action should the government fail to grant them the Cost of Living Allowance in the coming days.
