Teachers’ professional allowance that was introduced last year to enable Teachers to organize professional learning community PLC and also to attend professional workshops to enable them to acquire professional skills in the teaching fraternity will be paid by September or October ending 2021.
Speaking at the launch of one Teacher one laptop initiative at St Mary’s senior high campus in Accra, the vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia disclosed that their government has initiated a lot of policies which are intended to improve Teaching in the country. in order to make sure Teachers organized professional learning community in their various schools, Dr. Bawumia indicated that Teachers professional allowance was introduced and these years professional allowance too will be paid.
Information reaching us indicate that this year’s Teachers’ professional allowance will be paid at the end of September or October 2021. The 30% cost of the laptops for teachers will also be deducted from the professional allowance of the Teacher and no more from the salary of the Teacher.
