GES release and Transfers: documents needed. Apply

Application is invited from teachers who wish to apply for release and assurance from one Region/metropolitan/municipal/district to the other. Management of the Ghana Education Service has officially opened a Release and transfer window to allow in-service Teachers who wish to move from their current station to new ones to do so.

This exercise officially commenced on Monday 24th of May 2021. Before a teacher can apply for release (this means moving from one district to the other), the teacher needs an assurance letter from the new district the teacher wish to go to.

How to Apply for an Assurance Letter
Write a letter to the District directors of Education you wish to be Release to.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY FOR ASSURANCE INCLUDE;

  1. Application for assurance letter
  2. Certificates (professional and academic)
  3. Promotion letter
    4.personal record form duly endorsed by the Applicants Director.
  4. Confidential report from the Applicants headmaster
  5. Current payslip

When the teacher now get assurance letter from the new district he or she wants to go then the teacher can go ahead to apply for release from the current district.

DOCUMENTS FOR GES RELEASE AND TRANSFERS INCLUDE;

  1. Application for release letter
  2. Assurance for release from the district where Applicants wish to go
  3. Release form (to be supplied by office)
  4. Personal record form (to be supplied by office)

Some district in the Volta Region has set the deadline for Application of release to and from their district. A letter signed by the Human Resource manager of the Hohoe Municipal Dr. Solomon Amankwa and sighted by educegh.com stated that the deadline for the Application of release and assurance to the Hohoe Municipality is Friday 28th, May 2021.
