GNAT has called for the Promotion of (2015/16) group teachers from Snr Supt II – Snr Supt II

The National Council of the Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT has called on the management of the Ghana Education Service to immediately look into the Promotion of teachers from senior superintendent I I – senior superintendent I.

The National Council of the Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT having held a meeting at GNAT village at Abankro near Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region between 6th to 14th of November 2021 deliberated on all the major issues affecting teachers in the country and one of the main issue deliberated was the failure of the Ghana Education Service to promote teachers in the Junior ranks.

According to the National Council of the Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT, they are calling on GES to take immediate steps to resolve the outstanding issue concerning the Promotion of teachers in the Junior ranks (Snr Supt II to Snr Supt I) to avert the destruction of the industrial peace in the teaching Service.

The statement has made it clear that the most affected Teachers are the 2015 and the 2016 year group. According to the National Council of GNAT, the condition of service of teachers has not been good at all which is directly affecting teachers in their line of duty. Hence the immediate Promotion of these group of Teachers to senior superintendent I.
