The Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT as of yesterday 14th July 2021 suspended two executives of the Association over their conduct and behaviors in connection with issues of the GNAT provident Fund (Teachers Provident Fund).
According to the association, the two main reasons for the suspension of the two members are
- The refusal of the two members to appear before the committee of enquires set up by the association about the change of name of the GNAT provident Fund
- Deceiving national executives on the change of logo of the GNAT provident fund at the National Executive meeting held on 6th March 2021 at GNAT headquarters.
- The unwillingness of the two members to cooperate for the smooth transition of the old board to the new board of GNAT provident Fund.
- Writing a letter to introduce the interim board members on 22nd June 2021 and turning round to host the AGM of GNAT provident Fund on 23rd June 2021 despite the pendency of interlocutory injunction of the AGM which was brought to their notice earlier.
