The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has completed a technical handing-over of a new 6-unit classroom block to Tano Odumase Senior High School in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
The classroom block will be furnished with 240 mono-desks, white boards, office chairs and tables to enhance the academic experience of both students and staff.
Handing over the keys to the chief of Tano Odumase, Nana Agyare Boateng II, in the company of the Assembly member of the area, Hon. Franklin Frimpong Manso, Madam Caroline Aggrey-Fynn, who is Head of the Education & Training Unit at GNPC Foundation, said Education remains a critical strategy to the development of Ghana and hence GNPC’s commitment to contributing to improving educational infrastructure of needy schools and communities across the country.
She urged the school to adopt the best maintenance culture to ensure the facility serves its intended purpose. She also assured the school of the successful completion of a second 6-unit structure currently being constructed for the school.
Nana Agyare Boateng II expressed his satisfaction over the work done and thanked GNPC for the support. He lauded the Corporation for its thorough supervisory system that ensures the contractors deliver according to agreed standards.
Hon. Franklin Frimpong Manso made further requests of GNPC to provide the school with a dormitory and library as it looks forward to providing holistic education experience to students.
