The government through the ministry of education on 14 May 2021 announces that Gh¢100 million has been released to the various public senior high schools in Ghana as their feeding component.

The conference of Heads of Assisted secondary schools (CHASS) confirmed that most of the heads of public senior high schools have received the feeding grants that were released by the government.

Speaking on Citi news the president of the conference of Heads of Assisted secondary schools (CHASS) stated that the remaining 50 percent of the monies that were meant for perishable goods, hit the account of the various public schools last week Wednesday. Adding that the management of the ministry has assured them that the remaining monies left for other expenses will hit their account very soon.

He explained that the monies that have hit the account of the schools are meant for perishables but the other monies meant for the running of offices, fuel, exams, and others are yet to hit their account.

He, therefore, calls on the government to release the funds for other expenses in schools.
