JHS & primary heads should keep Schools open and welcome children who report – GES

The Management of the Ghana Education Service has officially directed Basic Schools heads through the Regional and District Directors of Education to keep Schools open and closely supervise school children who report to school.

Management has also directed Senior High School authority to mobilize their management team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the students in the schools.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the teacher unions in Education yesterday Monday, 4th July 2022 organize a press conference to declare an indefinite strike action over Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA) effective 4th July 2022.

The leadership of the teacher unions however asked their members to staff away from their duties until they hear anything from them, meanwhile, GES is asking Schools heads to stay and discharge their duties.
