The management of the Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast UCC has sent a strong message to all UCC 3- semesters sandwich students who are about to do their Off-Campus Teaching Practice in 2022.
Management of the Institute of Education is asking all students who are about to do the off -Campus Teaching Practice to consistently visit the student’s online portal as that is going to be the official portal for communicating with students on OCTP.
According to management, the final year students were scheduled to do their teaching practice on Thursday 18th February 2022, but due to challenges that were confronted by management that official date was canceled. Management has therefore outlined the modalities and the new dates for the official supervision of final year students to do their Off-Campus Teaching Practice programs.
The Institute of Education has noted that final year students of the 3- semester sandwich program will be supervise by two different supervisors. No single students will be supervise by one supervisor. This is to ensure partiality in the scoring of marks for students.
In case, where students have scored low or high marks, third supervision, will be organized for that special case and it will be conducted by the lead supervisor.
Management however charges the leader of the supervisors to ensure that each student receives at least two supervision in his or her District.
Students who for one or two reasons have been moved to a new District are encouraged to contact their new District team leaders to ensure that he or she is part of this supervision.
