NTC and Ministry of Education taking steps to reduce license Examination failure rate-Dr Yaw Adutwum

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has disclosed that his outfit is taking steps to ensure that the failure rate in the licensure Examination is reduced.

The National Students Association and Teacher Trainees’ have expressed worried about the failure rate of the last released licensure Examination results which qualified one to be recruited by the Ghana Education Service.

According to the minister, he has instructed the National Teaching Council NTC to have a web portal where thousands of questions will be uploaded there to allow prospective teachers to have access to it and practice the question there before going to in to write their license examination.

” I discussed with the National Teaching Council and instructed that the need to have a web portal with thousands of questions for people to have opportunity to practice because you don’t want people to walk in Examination and will not have the benefit of sample questions that the can use to prepare for the exam. So NTC has taken as a responsibility to make sure samples are available for people.” He said.
