October validation for public sector workers likely to be halted – CAGD staff

By | October 16, 2022

The Staff of the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) across the country has threatened to halt the validation of all public sector workers over administrative issues.

According to Controller and Accountant General Department CAGD staff, the government has been given fourteen days’ ultimatums to settle their Special duties Allowance, and other administrative duties or face their wrath.

CAGD staff has also threatened to boycott the forthcoming production of the third-party national account of the consolidated fund.

The staff has indicated that all this has come due to the government’s failure to pay their special duties allowances and car maintenance allowance.

Also, the staff demands immediate payment of their 2021 allowance and the first, second, and third quarters of 2022 allowance without any further delays.

They, therefore, have given the Government fourteen days’ ultimatums to pay all their demands or face their wrath. This directly means that the next fourteen days which are going to be the validation days for all public sector workers are likely to delay if the government is not able to solve the issue of CAGD staff in time.
