The management of the Ghana Education Service recently received financial clearance for the posting of Newly qualified trained teachers who completed from Colleges of education. Most of the newly trained teachers are anticipating when the GES portal will be open.
During the launching of the centenary celebration of Wesley college of education, the Director-General of Ghana Education Service Prof. Opoku Amankwa granted an interview to some media personalities. Answering the question as to when the portal for the recruitment of newly trained teachers will be open now that the financial clearance has been given to them. Prof Amankwa made it clear that within one or two weeks the portal will be open.
He clearly stated that the clearance given by the ministry of finance is only for those who have completed Colleges of education and passed their National Teachers license Examination and are also done with their national service with no issue of referral paper from the College of education.
He further explained that the Ghana Education Service existed to serve Ghanaians and newly trained teachers should be ready to accept posting to where their Service is needed. Any newly trained teachers who will attach any reason for not accepting posting to where their Service is needed will lose their chance for a different person to occupy.
He added that the Ghana Education Service has collaborated with the World Bank to offer GALOP programs to more than ten thousand public basic schools. So GES is thinking of posting newly trained teachers to these schools.
Newly qualified trained teachers are therefore to get ready with their National Service Certificate, Diploma Certificate, and Licence Certificate for easy processing of their documents when the portal is open.
