The management of the Ghana Education Service has officially disclosed to all teachers who qualify for car maintenance allowance and transfer grants to as matter of urgency apply to their District Education office before the scheduled date.
Car maintenance allowance and transfer grants are allowances given to in-service teachers who qualify to take those allowances and have the available documents at their disposal.
Transfer grants are given to teachers who in the interest of the service have been transferred by the management of the Ghana Education Service to where their services are needed. These grants are given to such teachers to enable them to pack their luggage to their new stations.
Teachers who have willingly requested a transfer from their District Education offices do not qualify to take this grant.
According to management all in-service teachers who have qualified for the car maintenance allowance and the transfer grants in 2021 must submit their documents to the Budget Officer of their District Education Directorate before 6:00 pm Friday 4th March 2022.
Required Documents to be Submitted
Teachers who qualify for the transfer grants are required to make three photocopies of each of the following documents:
• Transfer letter
• First appointment letter
• Payslip of the transfer month
Teachers who qualify for car maintenance allowance are to submit three copies each of the following documents
