The author of this article has taken her time to air some of the reasons why some students cannot understand or apprehend lessons taught by their teachers.
Laziness is one of the most important things which makes students not to understand the lesson taught by their teachers. Many students are always idle even when a teacher is in class; that is the time she or he will be sleeping and looking onto this what will he or she understand before the teacher goes out. instead of them to ask the fellow students what they did not get from the teacher they will rather use that period for jokes and funny things.
A larger population in class is also one of the most important points that can make students not to understand their teachers when they taught them. When the students are more in class, the teacher will not even have time to check on them properly but when they are few, the teacher will always ensure that class tests, exercise, and other things will be done to make the students active always. But when the students are many in the class, there would be no discipline and I think it will be necessary when the students are at the smaller number that a teacher can control.
Inadequate infrastructure is another big problem that makes students not to understand their teachers after they taught them. Many students will have to sit on the floor before they will be writing and some will stand. when all these things are happening now will the students have peace of mind to even listen to what the teacher is telling them. So, this is a major problem facing the students.
Language barriers are a major point that can cause students not to understand their teachers during teaching or when taught. A teacher may not understand the local language at the place that he or she has been posted to and when they explain everything in English maybe the students may not get it clear, they are certain things he or she needs to explain in the local language. so when this is happening, it makes the students not to get what the teacher is teaching them and for the teacher, he or she takes his salary every month so he will come and teach and he or she does not care either they students understands or not these are some of the reasons why some students do not understand the lesson taught by the teacher.
