The Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT has disclosed that the failure of Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education in refunding GH¢44.50 back to teachers after deducting teachers’ professional development allowance for the one teacher one laptop is creating anxiety in the service.

A communique issued at the end of 2022 mandatory National Council meetings held at the Teachers Village at Abankro, from 25th – 29th October 2022 indicated that “The delay in supplying the laptops as well as a refund of the GH¢44.50 to teachers is still creating anxiety on our front, with the potential of rocking the industrial peace we are currently experiencing”

According to the management of the council, if the issue is not resolved by 9th December 2022, the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service solve be held responsible for such action.
