The management of the Ghana Education Service has given schools the green light to organize celebrations or any anniversaries such as sporting activities, speech and prize giving days, debating competitions, and many more in their schools. It could be recalled that due to the outbreak of the pandemic all these celebrations were banned by the government to contain the pandemic in schools.

Management of Ghana Education Service has now brought out the guidelines that teachers and their headmasters can follow to be approved to conduct any event in their school.

Below information contained the steps to follow to apply for approval to organize any celebration or event in your school.

  • state the duration of the program, any events whose duration will be more than 3 hours will not be accepted by the Director-General. If a school refuses and organized such a program the Regional and District Directors of education will be held responsible.
