Some aggrieved Teachers have called for the resignation of the entire leadership of GNAT

Some teachers who yesterday 12th July 2021 demonstrates at the Education Ministry, Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters, and the Headquarters of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) office over the anomalies of the aptitude test results that were released by GES has called for the resignation of the entire executives of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).

According to these aggrieved Teachers who are concerned about the recent aptitude test results that were released by the Ghana Education service, they were denied entry into the premise of the Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT headquarters yesterday. After the group demonstrated at the premise of the Ghana Education service they then move to the headquarters of their biggest Teachers union office GNAT but they were denied entry into the premise by the security guard of the GNAT office. It took the intention of shouting and pushing of this group of Teachers that made them enter the premises of GNAT Headquarters.

Because these teachers were first denied entry into the premise of GNAT to present their petition to the leadership of their union. Some of these teachers have indicated that their union leaders GNAT have failed them and for that matter, they do not deserve to be leaders of the GNAT.

According to the aggrieved Teachers, the posture of GNAT leaders have shown that the are in bed with the Ghana Education Service GES to denied majority of the teachers promotion these 2021.

They have indicated that everything shows that Ghana Education Service GES wants to cheat Teachers on the recent aptitude test by intentionally failing the majority of the teachers who took part in these years’ promotion examination, meanwhile, their union leaders have refused to fight on their behalf.

The aggrieved Teachers, therefore, called on the immediate resignation of the entire leadership of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).
