A group calling itself Innovative Teachers a registered Teacher union under the Labour Department of Ghana has threatened to sue Management of the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service GES for trying to compulsory sell laptops to teachers which according to them is against the Labour law.
The group has therefore called on GES to refrain from compelling Teachers to part take in the exercise. They want the management of the Ghana Education service to allow Teachers who are not interested in taking part in this compulsory buying of laptops to stop or face them in court.

In a reply to this letter, the management of the Ghana Education Service has disclosed that it was GNAT NAGRAT and CCTGH that negotiated for the laptops for its members and teachers should not create the impression that GES decided to forcefully sell these laptops to teachers.
GES, therefore, calls on the leadership of the Innovative Teachers to submit the names of their members who are not interested in parting in the laptops for teachers so that their names will be withdrawn from it.
