The Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has disclosed that schools are expected to be given sample questions to prepare their primary four (basic 4) for the November 2021 standard test that will be conducted by the West Africa Examination Council.
The November 2021 Standard test Assessment for basic 4 pupils is the first National assessment to be conducted Nationwide by the WAEC.
Speaking at the event “Reimagining Education for National Transformation”, the minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum stated that the Ministry is looking forward to securing 90% in English Language proficiency after the basic four pupils have written the standardized test in November 2021.
The Minister anticipates that the National Standardized Test will reduce the learning poverty index among students in the country.
The examination will help the government to get data on whether pupils can read or not which will help the government to be able to tackle learning challenges in the country.
