The Greater Accra Regional Education Directorate has denied the allegations raised by some teachers that some teachers in the Shama District Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service do not accept Teachers with 3rd class in the District.
Speaking to the media the District Education Director has explained that they were completely shocked about the said allegations when Ghana Education Service gave the green light for Staff in the service to apply for reporting. He said the district has not denied any Teacher seeking transfer or assurance into the district on any basis.
The district has made it clear that all those Teachers who were seeking reposting into the district were given and no teacher was discriminate against base on their graduation qualifications.
Background An earlier report by some teachers indicated that Teachers who completed with 3rd class from Colleges of Education were been denied reposting in the Shama District Education Directorate of the Greater Accra Region but further clarification has been made that no teacher has been discriminate against, base on that allegation.
