A Labour Expert Mr. Boakye Yiadom Amponsah has called on the government to sack or terminate the contract of any teacher who fails to go to school on Friday 8th July 2022 on demand of COLA.

Speaking on Neat Fm in Kumasi yesterday, Thursday 7th July 2022 Mr. Boakye Yiadom Amponsah responding about teachers embarking on indefinite strike action over Cost Of Living Allowance said if he was government he will have given teachers an ultimatum to go back to work or consider sacked.

He bases his argument on the fact that the strike teacher unions are embarking on is very unlawful and the timing of the strike is not right.

He added that government should terminate the striking teacher’s allowance and give other youth the chance to be teaching in the field.

According to him if government sacks teachers who refuse to go to school this Friday, the government can still get over 100,000 graduates to fill that vacancy.
