The Ghana Education Service 2021 teachers promotion examination wittiness a lot of mass failure and most Teachers do not know why and the mark the had in the examination which made them be considered has failed.
Our check has shown that the management of the Ghana Education Service set the pass mark for the 2021 teachers’ promotion examination at 75. Teachers who even score more than half of the pass mark were considered failed.
Speaking at the Teachers day celebration, one of the candidates who wrote the 2021 Promotion examination told Joy FM’s super morning show that after the Examination she and five of her colleagues were given the opportunity to see their script. Madam Sabina Mensah said she and her five colleagues scored more than half of the pass mark which is 75 but were considered failed. So any teacher that score a mark less than the GES 75 set mark was considered unsuccessful.
Some teachers have complained that the success rate of the Ghana Education Service Teachers Promotion pass mark is very low and a teacher to score more than half and still be considered has unsuccessful is worrying.
They therefore pleaded with the government and Ghana Education Service to relooked at how the exam is set and also allow the Teachers the opportunity to review their exams script so that they will know where they went wrong. But to always leave Teachers in a vacuum after the exam and come and tell them the have failed is troublesome.
