Updates: Recruitment of Diploma holders from universities into GES

The National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST) on 8th December 2021 petitioned the Ministry of Education to recruit all University diploma holders in Education into the Ghana Education Service.

Following their petition on 8th December 2021, the Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum humbly accepted the petition from the National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST).

The petition submitted by the National Council of Private Schools Teachers stated that the Ministry of Education should allow diploma holders from UCC, UEW, UDS, Valley View University, etc to apply for recruitment into the Ghana Education Service in the 2022 batch.

Following the Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum’s acceptance of the petition from NCOPST, he directed NCOPST to put together data of all diploma holders in Education and private schools Teachers with diploma holders in Education for submission to the Ministry for the necessary action to be taken.

The Director of the Council stated that the data will include all those who hold a diploma in Education from accredited tertiary institutions from 2013 to 2021.

All interested Applicants must satisfy this requirement
?Must completed from accredited tertiary institutions (university/college) and has no outstanding exams or referral
?Must hold a diploma in Education certificate
?Must completed the mandatory National Service scheme and has an NSS certificate
?Must have Ghana Teachers Licensure Certificate.
