Some of the causes of the mass failure of NTC March 2021 Teachers Licensure Examination.

Following the mass failure of the March 2021 Ghana Teachers Licensure Examination that was written by the newly trained teachers, the leadership for the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana TTAG engaged the Registrar of the National Teaching Council NTC Dr. Christian Addai Poku to find out what necessitated the mass failure of the newly trained teachers, and also appeal for another exam to conducted as soon as possible to help those newly trained teachers who trial in one or two papers to recruited by GES.

On the cause of the mass failure, Dr. Christian Addai Poku stated that most of the students who failed are resit students and that much preparation was not made by the students before the exam.

He added that none of the papers was leaked and that invigilation was very tight and most of the victims were not allowed to sit for the paper in their various colleges of education, hence that was the true performance of the students.

Dr. Addai Poku further stated that anyone who feels cheated can apply for remarking. He made it clear that he is ready to do open remarking where the answer booklet of the Applicant will be made to juxtaposed the marking scheme. He also insisted to invite the leadership to watch the remarking of the Applicant.

Procedures for Remarking
Applicants have to write an official letter to the Registrar of NTC requesting for the remarking of his or her script. Applicants, therefore, proceed to pay an amount of six hundred Ghana cedis (ยข600.00) into the NTC account as remarking fee.

When the leadership appeal for the victim to be allowed to redeem themselves before GES portal open for recruitment. The Registrar assured them of open opening the portal in the middle of August 2021 for the victim to redeem themselves.
